In the sixties I really got hooked on Yorkville. I lived near London and my idea of a good time was to drive down to TO and go to a club where the Stitch in Tyme was the house band..I think. You guys seemed to be there all the time and for such a small narrow club you guys filled it with so much sound. Your vocals were super. I think the name of the club was something like "Stop 34". Is this close?

Hi Grant, I use to live in Parrsboro in the 60's and my Dad Alex MacAskill use to be the VP at the High School. I think he might have taught you? I remember you and Bob Murphy and certainly the Bands you guys played in. The last time I saw The Stitch in Time was at the Greenwood Community Centre & I still have posters in my old room in Berwick. Just thought I'd say hi. Take care, Arnie MacAskill

Hi Grant,

There is a nice pub in Pickering called the Stone Corner, owned by same guy who owns Stone Cottage Inn in Scarborough. The Stone Corner would be a great place for you to play. Let me know if you are interested and if I could help in any way.

Best,

John

My father may have played in a band that opened up for The Stitch in Thyme his name is Tommy Hay he played drums and sang. One of his guys that may have played with him was Em Lehman .My mother Faye and her friend Dee were go-go dancers in your band .Dad was to open for The Stitch In Thyme at Hidden Valley in Huntsville, Ontario during the summer of 1966. I was wondering if you have any stories to add with this. Sadly my dad passed away 3 years ago due to complications of M.S.. all the best.

I sat front row centre for Madcats in a bar named Hanrahans in Hamilton, I think it was 1980ish. Those years are kinda fuzzy. At present I'm listening to Teenage Valentino, my favourite song and for 37 years I'm still wondering in which city was that nightmare? Keep on ROCKIN'
